Learn & Grow
We invest in the growth and future success of our employees through our range of Learning & Development opportunities.
Employees can take charge of their development by sharing their learning aspirations with their manager. If those aspirations align with the overall business strategy, a learning initiative will be implemented.
We selectively offer bursaries to employees to help them advance their formal education.
We created the production career development pathway to advance the careers of employees. The path opens the door for an employee to qualify for a tertiary qualification via the Carpet Technology (level 1 to 3) and the CTF Learnership Forum gateway qualifications. From there, they can enroll in the Production Technology qualification (NQF level 2 to 4), progressing to Supervisory Development Programmes (NQF Levels 3 to 5) and after that to Management Development Programmes (NQF Levels 6-7).
Students enrolled in the National Diploma in Textile Technology, Carpet Design, Carpet Technology or Quality get the opportunity for hands-on experience through our in-service training program. The program includes a 6 or 12-month contract with a stipend, and often leads to a permanent position.
We have a rich history of upskilling our own employees and external unemployed people through formal apprenticeship programs. Recent sponsorships have included fitter, electrician, instrumentation, winding & twisting, needlepunch, and tufting mechanician programs.
The Belgotex Graduate Program offers graduates an opportunity to learn while being part of an organisation that values our people, planet, and products. The program includes 12 months of structured work exposure in a graduate's field of study. Graduates are assigned to thoughtfully selected projects that contribute to their growth and to our business objectives. We offer opportunities in Electrical Engineering, Environmental Sciences, Finance, Human Resources, Management, IT, Logistics, Marketing, Mechanical Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Operations Management, Process Instrumentation, Supply Chain Management and Textile Design.
